THE TEMPEST CAST

Tison Johnson - Prospero

Tison is very enthusiastic about being involved in their 3rd Free State Production! Tison had participated in theater for 3 years. Outside of theater he enjoys skateboarding and hanging out with friends and family. They were also a part of Footloose and You Can’t Take It With You. Tison wants to thank his friends and family for always encouraging him and pushing him to be better.

Cadence Mayfield - Miranda

Cadence is very excited to be in her third production here at Free State. Outside of theater, she enjoys playing video games, traveling, and cuddling with her cat, Dane. She wants to thank all of her family and friends for always standing by her crazy interests, and supporting her in her endeavors. She hopes you enjoy the show!!!

Kouri Demelash - Ariel

Kouri is very excited to be in his 8th show at Free State and 2nd Shakespeare play. Kouri has been involved in the theatre scene for about five years, but enjoys color guard, film, and singing outside of theatre. You can find his work on the Firebird Productions YouTube channel and throughout this show! Kouri would like to thank his friends, family, and the audience members like YOU for coming to support him!

Emmett Henry - Caliban

Emmett has had a blast playing Caliban this spring! Outside of productions, Emmett is on the Improv team, co-president of the GSA club, in choir, and on color guard. They love drawing, singing, sewing, and being creative with friends.

Arvo Ananda - Ferdinand

Arvo is very excited to be in his second Free State production! He has been joining and becoming a part of many different groups such as his new band “Lozenge.” He has also been working on his Forensics final, taking away time from his memorization. The Tempest has been a very different experience for him in the means of language and all together flow. He wants to thank everyone that supported him in the process of this production!

Aila Glendening - Alonso

Aila is very enthusiastic about being involved in their 2nd Free State Theatre Production! Aila has participated in theatre for 2 years total. Outside of theatre, they enjoy playing/writing music, sudoku, and autumn walks. They are also in choir. Aila wants to thank their friends and family for always encouraging them!

Peyton Johnson - Antonio

Peyton is very enthusiastic about being involved in their 2nd Free State Theatre Production! Peyton has participated in theatre for 3 years. Outside of theatre, they enjoy gardening and cooking. Peyton wants to thank their friends and family for always encouraging them!

Chloe Hannings - Gonzalo

Chloe is very excited to be in her first Free State Theatre Production! She has participated in theatre since elementary school. Outside of theatre, she enjoys video games, reading, and singing. Chloe wants to thank her friends and family for always being there, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Isobel Krestas - Trinculo

Isobel has always enjoyed watching theatre performances, and she is so excited to be able to be a part of them! She started doing theatre in 2023 and has been rocking on since. Outside of theatre, she also enjoys participating in band (marching and concert!). Isobel is so grateful to have an awesome family to drive her home and back from rehearsals as well as supportive friends!!

Carlisle Sanchez - Stephano

Carlisle is a freshman and has been involved in theatre for 4 years. He started in 6th grade at West Middle School. Outside of theatre, he enjoys video games and calls with friends. He thanks his friends and family for always being encouraging of him to do what he loves!

Ray Huslig-Hanks - Shipmaster

Ray is quite happy to have the opportunity to be in this production of The Tempest. This is his third play at Free State, and his sixth production he's ever been in. Ray has participated in theatre productions for 3 years. Outside of theatre he enjoys many of the other arts, such as singing, ceramics, painting, and drawing. Ray would like to thank his friends Solange, Catalina, Henri, Sophie, and Maggie for being super super amazing and for always supporting him

My name is Juliet, and this is my third show at Free State High School. I love doing costumes for shows and acting. I participate in orchestra and choir as well. Thank you to all of those who make it possible to create the show. 

Erika Rivera - Ceres/Mariner/Nymph/Reaper/Hound

Gwenyth McDow - Juno/Mariner/Nymph/Reaper/Hound

Gwenyth is very enthusiastic about being involved in her 2 Free State Theatre Production! Gwenyth has participated in theater for 5 years. Outside of theater they enjoy dance and sports. They are also a part of Marching Band and Girl Scouts. She wants to thank her friends and family for always encouraging her!

Corbin Thompson - Mariner/Nymph/Reaper/Hound

Corbin is very enthusiastic about being involved in their 2nd ever  Free State Theatre production! Corbin has participated in theatre for 3 whole years! Outside of theatre, they enjoy hanging out with friends, playing games, and reading books. They are also a part of band and choir. Corbin wants to thank their friends and family for always encouraging them and giving them the support they needed!

Red Goeden-Gayler - Mariner/Nymph/Reaper/Hound

Red is very enthusiastic about being involved in their 2nd Free State Theater production! Red has participated in theater for 4 years. Outside of theater they enjoy art and music. Red Göden Gayler wants to thank their friends and family for always encouraging them!

Caden Hodges - Stage Manager

Caden is very enthusiastic about being involved in their 8th Free State Theatre Production! Caden has participated in theatre for 4 years. Outside of theatre, they enjoy video games and music. They are also a part of choir.

Nico Scales - Assistant Stage Manager

What kind of a chump reads the assistant stage manager’s bio… uhhhhh. Nico is a guy who likes to eat food and…uhhhh likes to listen to music. He is currently listening to the best of the Talking Heads which he enjoys very much. The Talking Heads isn’t consistently his favorite, but he really likes their hits. Not just “Psycho Killer” and “Burning Down the House,” either. Pretty much every song on their best of album gets a solid 9/10 from him. This is his 8th Free State show! That’s pretty crazy. He’d like to thank his family for dealing with his wacky schedule and for putting up with him being grumpy after long nights of painting rocks. Thanks for reading, and I’m sorry I called you a chump. 

Samantha Dillon - Student Technical Director/Sound Designer

Samantha is very excited to be a part of their 9th show for Free State Theatre. Outside of theatre she is involved in FSHS Marching Band, Wind Ensemble and National Honor Society. Samantha would like to thank her friends and family for their continuous support! 

Leo O’Keefe - Costume/Hair & Makeup Designer

Leo is very excited about being in their 2nd Free State Theatre Production! Leo has participated in theatre for 2 years. Outside of theatre, they enjoy drawing, writing, reading, and listening to music. They are also a part of Free State's GSA club. Leo wants to thank their friends and family for always encouraging them!

Ebi Hegeman - Costume Designer

Ebi is loving costume designing her fourth show and excited to try Shakespearean looks! Ebi has been in the FS Theatre program since freshman year and currently holds the secretary position for Troupe 5773. Outside of theater, Ebi is a yearbook editor and in three honor societies. Most importantly, she wants to thank Claire for every work day!

Evie Chancy - Hair & Makeup Designer

Evie is very excited to do the hair and makeup for her 7th Free State Theatre show! She wants to thank the glorious Kinley Gigous for providing snacks and beverages to her to keep her going through the busy tech week!!

Kinley Gigous - Publicity 

Kinley is very excited about being involved in her fifth Free State Theatre Production! She has participated in theatre for 5  years. Outside of theatre, they enjoy photography, trying new hobbies, and hanging out with friends. They are also a part of journalism and forensics. Kinley would like to thank her friends and family for always encouraging her!
