Free State Choirs

The choirs at Free State High School are directed by Joshua East and Olivia Henning, and are accompanied by Joseph Piontek. The program consists of seven choirs: Vox Novum, Apollo Chorum, Artemis Chorum, Concert Chorale, Aurora, Chamber Choir, and Chamber Singers. At Free State students learn a diverse range of choral literature, as well as learn to be musically literate. Choirs from Free State have been selected to perform at the KMEA All-State Inservice Workshop and the Southwest American Choral Director's Association Conference. Some highlights in the yearly calendar include a yearly Masterwork each December, an all-city performance in February, and Juniors and Seniors in the program put on the yearly Encore variety show each March.
